Warranty

12 Month Limited Warranty

The Pangino watch ("the watch", "this product") of the original customer that purchased it ("the customer") is warrantied by Pangino LLC (“Pangino”) against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.

Pangino reserves the right to reject any warranty claims that arise from an issue that it does not consider to be a manufacturing defect. Pangino reserves the right to reject any warranty claims made on or after the warranty’s date of expiration, which occurs exactly twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.

Under this warranty, Pangino may, at its option, either adjust, replace, or repair components of the watch, or replace the watch entirely with a brand new one of the same model and color, or, if unavailable, the same model of a different color, or a different model of at least equivalent retail purchase value ("a replacement watch"), depending on what is available to Pangino.

All transportation costs up to an amount of $30.00 USD in connection with sending the watch from the customer to Pangino to adjust, replace, or repair components of it under warranty, or in sending the watch after warranty service or a replacement watch under warranty from Pangino to the customer, will be incurred by Pangino.

If transportation costs exceed $30.00 USD, Pangino reserves the right to bill the customer the additional amount exceeding $30.00 USD. If the customer refuses to pay any such additional charges related to the transportation cost, Pangino reserves the right to refuse to give the customer service under warranty.

Pangino may, at its option, select any carrier and delivery service it chooses to ship with when sending or receiving the watch or a replacement watch under warranty, and in cases where the watch must be shipped from the customer to Pangino for service under warranty, Pangino will provide the shipping label to the customer.

When the customer is shipping the watch to Pangino for service under warranty, all standards and practices regarding the watch’s transportation to Pangino, including the item condition, packaging, shipping process, and all other relevant details related to its transportation, adhere to what is stated in Pangino’s return policy. Pangino is not responsible if the watch is lost or damaged during shipment.

When sending the watch to Pangino for service under warranty, the customer should not include any packaging they wish to be returned, as all shipping materials will be discarded upon receiving the item. After the watch has been serviced under warranty, or if a replacement watch is being sent under warranty, it will be shipped from Pangino to the customer in accordance with the delivery times and standards stated in Pangino’s shipping policy.

Warranty coverage only extends to the original customer that purchased the watch, and all warranty claims must be started by them alone. This warranty does not apply to any watches that have not been bought directly from Pangino, such as watches bought or otherwise acquired from a third party.

Proof of purchase from Pangino is needed in order to obtain service under warranty. Pangino reserves the right to refuse any service under warranty to those who fail to provide adequate proof of purchase.

 

Warranty Exclusions

Anything that Pangino does not consider to be a manufacturing defect in materials and workmanship under normal use, is not covered under warranty. Batteries, straps, bracelets, crystals, and any plating on the watch case and bracelet or strap, is not covered under warranty.

Any issues or damage caused by improper usage, an accident, tampering with the watch, general wear and tear of the watch over time, or failure to read and follow the usage, care, maintenance, and general information in the instruction manual, is not covered under warranty.

Any scratches or other damage caused by activities such as bracelet resizing, bracelet replacement, opening the caseback, battery replacement, crystal replacement, bumping or scraping the watch against surfaces, dropping the watch, and any other usage by the customer that can alter the watch from its original state, is not covered under warranty.

Any issues or damage caused by the customer’s failure to have the watch serviced regularly with a professional jeweler or reputable watch repair shop at their own expense in accordance with the care and maintenance information in the instruction manual, is not covered under warranty.

Water or moisture damage of any kind is not covered under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, any damage caused by disregard to the water resistance ratings and directives related to water resistance outlined in the instruction manual and on our water resistance guidelines page, any damage caused by opening the watch or using any of its functions while under water, any damage caused by failing to secure the crown, and any damage caused due to swimming, showering, or any other extensive water contact activity conducted by the customer.

Any issues or damage caused by modifying or replacing any original part of the watch, such as the movement, crystal, bracelet, case, caseback, dial, and any other part originally present upon the customer’s receipt of the watch, is not covered under warranty.

Any periodic and routine maintenance services that are expected to occur through the course of the normal usage of the watch are not covered under warranty. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to have the watch serviced with a professional jeweler or reputable watch repair shop at their own expense in accordance with the care and maintenance information in the instruction manual.

Any loss of the watch due to negligence, an accident, theft, improper storage, misplacement, shock, disposal, unauthorized usage, improperly performed care and maintenance services, or any other event that results in loss, is not covered under warranty.

Warranty claims started on or after the warranty’s expiration date, which occurs exactly twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase, will be rejected, due to being ineligible to receive service under warranty as a result of the warranty’s expiration.

Failure by the customer to provide adequate proof of purchase from Pangino will result in a rejection of the warranty claim and a denial of service under warranty.

The preceding list of warranty exclusions is not all inclusive, and Pangino reserves the right to refuse warranty service for anything it does not consider to be within the scope of coverage of this 12 month limited warranty.

 

Voiding of Warranty

Modifying or replacing any original part of the watch voids this warranty. It should be noted, however, that this does not refer to actions that are routine or otherwise expected to occur during normal usage, such as resizing the bracelet or replacing the battery on quartz watches, although any damage caused through the process of performing such routine or otherwise expected actions during normal usage is not covered under warranty.

Pangino solely reserves the ability to deem what it considers an original parts modification or replacement that goes beyond the scope of an action that is routine or otherwise expected to occur during normal usage, and has the power to void the warranty of any customer that it deems has performed an action that does go beyond this scope. Generally, this includes, but is not limited to, any original parts modification or replacement done to alter the cosmetics or functionality of the watch in any way outside of its normal usage.

Any improperly performed care and maintenance services voids this warranty. This warranty is void if the watch is not bought directly from Pangino, and is instead bought or otherwise acquired from a third party.

 

Submitting a Warranty Claim

In order to submit a warranty claim, the customer needs to fill out the contact form on the contact us page, and select “warranty inquiry” as the contact reason.

In the content of their message, the customer should detail what specifically is wrong with their watch, what issue or problem has arisen, and why they believe it is a manufacturing defect in materials and workmanship under normal use.

During their communications, the customer may be asked for photos of the watch as well, specifically of the problem they have described, so Pangino can better understand the issue at hand.

The customer should ensure that all communication with Pangino is prompt and respectful and takes their warranty’s expiration date into consideration. If Pangino is contacted on or after the warranty’s date of expiration, which occurs exactly 12 months from the original date of purchase, then it cannot be exercised and service under warranty will not be given.

 

Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this limited warranty and the remedies contained within it are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express, statutory or implied, as to any matter whatsoever, including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, and accuracy, all of which are expressly disclaimed by Pangino LLC. When any implied warranties may not be excluded in their entirety, they will be limited to twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of this product as indicated by this limited warranty.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pangino LLC shall not be liable for any incidental, direct, indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages or liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with the sale or use of this product, or resulting from any breach of condition or warranty, whether based in contract, strict product liability, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if Pangino LLC has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and even if any remedy contained within this limited warranty is deemed to have failed of its essential purpose. Pangino LLC’s entire liability under all circumstances shall not exceed the purchase price paid by the customer for this product.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions and limitations may be limited in their application to the customer. This warranty gives the customer specific legal rights, and the customer may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
